The Durant Pond conservation area is at the far north end of Durant Ave. It abuts Stow conservation land and it is a short walk from the Rockland Woods conservation area.
The central feature of the Durant Pond area is the large and scenic man-made pond (retention basin). Two trails are available.
One trail circles the pond and currently the work of a beaver family can be seen. The second trail runs by the pond and passes through woodland to the north. The second trail continues onto Stow conservation land and on to the Rockland Woods conservation area. The connected conservation areas allow for an extended walk through varied terrain. |
