Whenever any vehicle shall be parked adjacent to a parking meter, the owner of said vehicle shall park within the space designeated by street markings (white lines) and, upon such space shall immediately deposit in said meter the required coin of the United States maximum legal parking period or proportionate period thereof both as indicated or shown on the meter and if so required set the mechanism in motion.

Please do not take a parking ticket to the Police Station to discuss it with the officer on the desk. The only way you can dispute a ticket is by bringing it to the Parking Clerk's Office @ the Town Hall and the decision there, after looking over the data and hearing the dispute, is a final one.
