Sealed Bids will be received at the office of the Department of Public Works, 195 Main Street, Maynard, MA 01754 until 11:00 AM, June 7, 2012 at which time they will be publicly opened and read for supplying the following materials for the period of July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. Bid forms are required and specifications are available at the Department of Public Works Office M-F 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.    The materials are:

1. Furnish Washed Sand
2. Treatment Chemicals
3. Furnish Gas and Diesel Fuel
4. Furnish Heating Oil
5. Paving

The Town of Maynard reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, wholly or in part and to award a bid deemed in the best interest of the Town of Maynard.

All bids must be clearly marked “Annual Bid 2013” the item number must be marked clearly on the sealed envelope and each bid item must be in a separate envelope.

Sidewalk Improvements
3 Locations
Maynard, Massachusetts

The Town of Maynard, will receive sealed bids for the Sidewalk Improvement Project – 3 Locations, 11:00 AM local time on Wednesday May 30th, 2012 at the office of Maynard Department of Public Works, 195 Main Street, Maynard, Massachusetts

The work under the contract consists of sidewalk improvements along Great Road (Route 117), Concord Street and Waltham Street. The proposed improvements at each location will include constructing granite curbing and cement concrete sidewalks or hot mix asphalt sidewalk. The work includes unclassified excavation, granite curb and edging, cement concrete sidewalk, minor drainage modifications, cement concrete steps, landscaping and other incidental work.

Bidders shall be pre-qualified through the Prequalification and Contracts Manager of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, 10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA.

Bid Documents, including Contract Plans and Specifications, may be obtained on or after Wednesday May 9th, 2012 at the office of Maynard Department of Public Works, 195 Main Street, Maynard, Massachusetts 01754, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. There will be a non-refundable charge of $50.00 for the Bid Package and a non-refundable charge of $10.00 for cds.

A 5% Bid deposit is required.
