Maynard Country Club Operations RFP

The Town of Maynard is soliciting proposals for the operation of the Maynard Country Club by a private operator under a three year contract, beginning March 30, 2012 through December 31, 2014. The major components of the desired services include management, maintenance, and operation of the Golf Course as a public course in accordance with a formal management agreement. The submission deadline is March 6, 2012 (see the RFP for complete details and deadline information).

Presidential Primary Absentee Ballots Available

Absentee ballots are now available for the Presidential Primary on March 6, 2012

Applications are available from the Town Clerks’ Office, 195 Main Street, Town Hall Building, Maynard, MA. 01754.

You may vote at the Town Clerk’s Office before the Presidential Primary at a time arranged with the Town Clerk, or you may request to vote by mail. Be sure to apply early. Include on the application your name and address as registered, the address you wish the ballot to be mailed, which ballot you would like (Democartic, Republican or Green-Rainbow) and your own signature.

You must apply for an absentee ballot by 12:00 noon on Monday, March 5, 2012

If you have any questions regarding absentee voting, please call the Town Clerks’ Office at 978-897-1300.

2012 Annual Town Meeting set for May 21st

To All Citizens of the Town of Maynard and Other Interested Parties:

Be advised that the Maynard Board of Selectmen, acting at their January 17, 2012 meeting voted five to zero: “To set the date and time of the Annual and Special Town Meetings as 7:00PM on Monday, May 21, 2012 respectively and to designate the Fowler School Auditorium on Tiger Drive as the location for the Annual and Special Town Meetings.”

Citizen’s petitions must be submitted with the question presented at the top of each side of the signature page. They must be submitted to the Town Clerk’s Office and certified by the Town Clerk in order to be included on the warrant. The deadline for submission of Citizen Petition Articles for the Annual / Special Town Meeting is 4:00PM, Friday, April 1, 2012 (per Maynard Charter, 45 days prior to the town meeting). Fire Department Study Available

This report contains the findings, conclusions and recommendations resulting from a comprehensive study of the organization, staffing, operations and management of the Maynard Fire Department. The study was commissioned by the Board of Selectmen in an effort to identify existing deficiencies, propose reasonable and actionable solutions to those deficiencies, and serve as a blueprint for the future growth and development of the fire department.
