The Department of Revenue has certified the valuation and tax rate for Fiscal Year 2011 of all taxable property in the Town of Maynard as required by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Due to the timing of this certification the fourth quarter bill is the actual bill that will show your new assessment and actual taxes for this fiscal year. Your total valuation for FY11 can be found on line at patriotproperties.com or at the Assessor’s Office in Town Hall and at the Maynard Public Library. These values are representative of full and fair cash value as of January 1, 2010.
The Assessing staff will be available during regular business hours to answer questions regarding your assessment. You will have until Monday, May 2nd at 4:00 p.m. to file for an abatement if you believe that your assessment is inaccurate. The abatement applications are available at the Assessor’s Office in Town Hall.
It is the mission of the Board of Assessor’s and the Assessing Department to establish and maintain the full valuation of all real and personal property in the Town of Maynard.
