Gloucester Lobster Cruise

Depart from the Maynard COA, 50 Brown St., at 9AM this morning on your luxury Silver Fox Coach for the scenic Massachusetts North Shore. Later this morning, you’ll arrive in Gloucester, famous for his fishing fleet and the courageous fisherman, and board the new and luxurious Beauport Princess Cruise Ship for a delicious buffet:

New England Clam Bake

New England Clam Chowder
Coleslaw with Homemade Dressing
St. Joseph’s Bread of the Fishermen
Steamed Lobster and BBQ Chicken (vegetarian option is available)
Red Bliss Potatoes
Corn on the Cob
Chocolate Mousse

As you enjoy this bountiful Clam Bake, your Captain will provide a narration about the sights you’ll be seeing on your 2-1/2 hour cruise. Gloucester Harbor and its environs are breathtaking and the Princess has large glass windows to view the sights. During the cruise, jazz music will be playing for your enjoyment, and you can walk out onto the outside deck if you wish for a salty sea breeze.

Your cruise will return to the dock at 2 PM and then you’ll travel over to nearby Rockport, where you’ll enjoy quaint shops and the scenic Atlantic Ocean. You’ll return home this evening at 6 PM after a delightful day with your friends on the Massachusetts North Shore!

Museum of Fine Arts

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is the fourth largest museum in the U.S. and contains more than 450,000 works of art. Our wonderful museum trip includes a one hour guided tour of the new exhibit Matisse in the Studio, along with plenty of time to explore the rest of the museum on your own. There are several options for lunch at the museum. Cost of transportation, admission fee, and tour is $15.00. Pick-ups start at 9:30 a.m. Please meet at the Maynard COA if possible.



 Historic Lexington and Concord

This historical tour of Lexington and Concord starts at the Minute Man Visitor Center for a multimedia presentation about the Revolution. Following that we will visit the Old North Bridge for a ranger program. Your tour guide will show you as many historical sites as time allows. Lunch will be at a mutually agreed upon restaurant. Van cost is $3.00. Cost of lunch is up to the individual. Pick-ups start at 9:30 a.m. Please meet at the Council on Aging if possible.


Longhorn Steakhouse Dinner Trip

Time longhorn-steakhouseto get out, socialize, enjoy a carefree ride and an affordable and air-conditioned meal with your friends and neighbors. The Maynard COA will be offering a dinner trip to the Longhorn Steakhouse on  June 22nd.

Seating on the COA Van is limited so please reserve your seat today.

There is a $5.00 COA van transportation fee and the cost of dinner is the responsibility of the individual. There will also be time to stop in Dollar Tree for those interested. Pick-ups begin at 3 p.m. and return time is approximately 8 p.m. We look forward to seeing you on this trip.

Maynard / Sudbury Senior Center Trips

The Maynard Council on Aging is pleased to announce we will be partnering with the Sudbury Senior Center on their trips. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the wonderful trips they offer and help gather the numbers required to guarantee the adventure will begin!
