Beginning April 1, 2022, public meetings held by town committees, boards and commissions may be held remotely, in-person, or via “hybrid” model (in-person and remote participation). The format for public meetings may be at the choosing by the individual public body, and may be limited by the availability of facilitating resources, such as room availability, audio-visual technical support, and/or capable staff and members. This direction is intended to be in accordance with House Bill 4345, “An Act making appropriations for the fiscal year 2022 to provide for supplementing certain existing appropriations and for certain other activities and projects,” signed by the Governor on February 12, 2022, in which Section 30A extends remote participation in public meetings until July 15, 2022.
