Update: As of 13-May the Planning Board has resumed public hearings.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chairs of the Conservation Commission
and the Planning Board have determined all public hearings would be continued until the first scheduled Board/Committee meeting after the Governor’s State of Emergency, declared on March 10, 2020, is lifted. The Chairs have concluded that due to the inability to ensure members of the public would be able to participate in “virtually hosted” public hearings, continuances are warranted. This is consistent with the provisions of Chapter 53 of the Acts of 2020 §17 and time periods applicable to applications will be tolled in accordance with the provisions of the Act.

18-MAR-2020: THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD VIA CONFERENCE CALL
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A s.5 and s.9, the Maynard Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday March 24, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Maynard Town Building, 195 Main Street, Maynard, Soup Campbell Room, to hear all persons interested in the application filed by the owner and petitioner Maynard Crossings JV, LLC – Capital Group Properties, 259 Turnpike Road, Southborough, MA 01772.
The Petitioner is requesting Special Permit approval for a Drive-Thru use (Bank) at the Maynard Crossings (129 Parker Street) mixed-use development.
This request is pursuant to Sections 3.0, 9.3 and 10.4 of the Zoning By-laws and the Concept Plan approved by Town Meeting on October 5, 2016.

18-MAR-2020: THIS MEETING IS BEING HELD VIA CONFERENCE CALL
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A s.5, the Maynard Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Maynard Town Building, 195 Main Street, Maynard, Room 101 to hear all persons interested in the Petition filed by Civico Development, 199 Main Street, Milford, MA 01757, to grant three (3) Variances for the Coolidge School located 12 Bancroft Street.
The subject property is currently owned by the Town of Maynard, 195 Main Street, Maynard, MA. 01754. This request is to facilitate private development of the Coolidge School. If granted, the requested Variances would:
- Allow an “Approval not Required” (ANR) lot division that will create a non-conforming structure. The ANR will create two parcels and must be granted by the Planning Board.
- Allow increased density on an undersized lot for the GR (General Residence) zoning district (12-units).
- Allow a reduced rear setback of less than 15 feet.

Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 41 s.81 D, the Maynard Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Maynard Town Building, 195 Main Street, Soup Campbell Room, to review and adopt the 2020 Master Plan as prepared by VHB and the Master Plan Steering Committee
A copy of the draft 2020 Master Plan is on file with the Office of Municipal Services Office, Planning Division, and the Town Clerk’s Office, and can be viewed during regular business hours .
Please be advised that the Maynard Board of Selectmen, acting at their June 18, 2019 meeting voted: “To set the date and time of a Special Town Meeting (STM) as 7:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2019, and to designate the Fowler School Auditorium at 3 Tiger Drive as the location for this Special Town Meeting.” Accordingly, the deadline for submittal of Citizens Petition Warrant Articles to the Board of Selectmen is 12:00 noon Friday, September 13, 2019.
Citizen’s petition must be submitted with the question presented at the top of each side of the signature page. They must be submitted to the Town Clerks Office and certified by the Town Clerk in order to be included on the warrant.
