Coolidge School Working Group

The Coolidge School Working Group was appointed by the Board of Selectmen in September 2018 to determine how to move forward with the Coolidge School building.

This working group uses the results of the 2015 Coolidge School Reuse Task Force.  This group released its final report in 2015 and was dissolved.   The Reuse Task Force developed a significant amount of background information on the building and potential uses.  Please visit their archive page to access that information.  (We may bring particularly relevant documents here as the Working Group progresses.)

Public Update Meetings

Find out at one of three public update meetings set to discuss the future of the historic building, sledding hill and playground:

  • April 27: Saturday, 1:30-2:30 pm
  • May 14: Tuesday, 7-8 pm
  • May 23: Thursday, 7-8 pm

All meetings will be held in the Roosevelt Room at the Maynard  Public Library. Free babysitting will be provided onsite.

These meetings are being sponsored by the Coolidge School Working Group (CSWG), a town-appointed board of Maynard residents. Since September 2018, the CSWG has researched and discussed various options for re-purposing the old school house.

If you’re interested in the future of the Coolidge School, sledding hill or playground, please attend one of these public meetings.
