Elections

Elections are held at all four precincts:

Precinct 1 – Maynard Public Library Roosevelt Room, 77 Nason St.
Precinct 2 – Fowler Middle School Auditorium, 3 Tiger Drive
Precinct 3 – Fowler Middle School Auditorium, 3 Tiger Drive
Precinct 4 – Maynard Public Library Roosevelt Room, 77 Nason St.

The easiest and fastest way to find out where to vote is to use the Massachusetts Election Finder.  This will also provide ballot samples along with candidate and ballot question information.

You can also find your precinct by referring to the precinct list on this website or calling the Town Clerk at 978-897-1300.

Polls are open from 7AM – 8PM for all Local, State and Federal Elections.

Annual Town Election – May 1, 2018

Nomination papers were available Monday, January 8, 2018 for the Annual Town Election on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. The last day to obtain papers was Friday, March 9, 2018.

The following offices are open on the election

  • 2 Selectmen for a term of three years
  • 2 School Committee members for a term of three years
  • 1 Trustee of Public Library for a term of three years
  • 1 Housing Authority member for a term of five years
  • 1 Moderator for a term of three years

43 valid Maynard voter signatures are required.

Nomination papers were available at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town Hall, 195 Main St.

Special Town Election – September 12, 2017

The following offices were open on the election:

  • 1 – Selectman for a term ending June 30, 2018

Nomination papers were due, Monday, April 10, 2017. The last day to obtain papers was Friday, July 21, 2017. 43 valid Maynard voter signatures are required. Nomination papers are available at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town Hall, 195 Main St. If you have any questions, please call 978–897–1300.

There will be a Candidates’ Night on September 6, 2017 –  7:00 pm at the Maynard High School.

Annual Town Election – May 2, 2017

The following offices were up for election:

  • 2 Selectmen for a term of three years
  • 2 School Committee member for a term of three years
  • 1 Trustee of Public Library for a term of three years

Nomination papers were due by March 10th. April 12th was the deadline to register to vote. Absentee Ballots for the election were available until 12 noon on May 1st. (A Housing Authority position was removed from the ballot due to changes at the State level.)
