Elections are held at all four precincts:
Precinct 1 – Maynard Public Library Roosevelt Room, 77 Nason St.
Precinct 2 – Fowler Middle School Auditorium, 3 Tiger Drive
Precinct 3 – Fowler Middle School Auditorium, 3 Tiger Drive
Precinct 4 – Maynard Public Library Roosevelt Room, 77 Nason St.
The easiest and fastest way to find out where to vote is to use the Massachusetts Election Finder. This will also provide ballot samples along with candidate and ballot question information.
You can also find your precinct by referring to the precinct list on this website or calling the Town Clerk at 978-897-1300.
Polls are open from 7AM – 8PM for all Local, State and Federal Elections.
Annual Town Election – May 7, 2019
Annual Town Election, May 7, 2019, 7am-8pm. All four precincts. The following offices are open on the election:
- 1 Selectmen for a term of three years
- 1 School Committee member for a term of three years
- 1 School Committee member for a term of one year (to fill a vacancy)
- 1 Regional Vocational School Committee member for a term of four years
- 1 Trustee of Public Library for a term of three years
Wednesday, April 17, 2019 is the deadline to register to vote in the Annual Town Election on May 7, 2019. The Town Clerks’ Office will be open that day from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. to register to vote. Voter registration forms must be received by the Board of Registrars or postmarked on or before the deadline for the election or town meeting.

16-Apr-2019: Absentee ballots are now available for the Annual Town Election on May 7, 2019. Applications are available from the Town Clerks’ Office, 195 Main Street, Town Hall Building, Maynard, MA. 01754.
Voters who are unable to vote on election day because of physical disability, religious beliefs or travel may vote by absentee ballot. State law limits the availability of absentee ballots to the three listed circumstances only. Absentee ballots are not available for mere inconvenience, or because of ordinary commuting-related difficulties.
If you will be absent from Maynard for an extended period of time, you may submit a single application for all elections occurring within the calendar year the application is accepted.
You may vote at the Town Clerk’s Office before the Annual Town Election at a time arranged with the Town Clerk, or you may request to vote by mail. Be sure to apply early. Include on the application your name and address as registered, the address you wish the ballot to be mailed and your own signature.
You must apply for an absentee ballot by 12:00 noon on Monday, May 6, 2019
