The Town of Maynard has been advised by the Town of Acton that their contractor will be replacing a culvert on Route 27 in Acton. Plans include a temporary weekend shutdown of Route 27 with Police led detours to guide travelers around the temporary closure. This temporary shutdown of Route 27 may occur late this fall or early in the spring of 2026. However, in advance of the Town of Acton’s culvert replacement, National Grid Gas will be replacing an aged gas line that runs under the culvert starting the week of November 3, 2025. The Town of Maynard has been informed that this work should not necessitate the full closure of Route 27, but traffic delays may occur during National Grid’s work.
