[ARCHIVED] Extreme Heat Advisory: June 18-21, 2024

Extreme Heat Advisory:

As you may already know, the National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting a multi-day period of dangerous heat and humidity this week with heat indices ranging between 95 and 106 degrees across portions of the Commonwealth. This potentially dangerous heat begins on Tuesday and persists through Friday.

Please review these heat safety tips and online sources of information available to you:

Increase hydration.
Avoid outside activities if possible.
Cover windows with drapes or shades.
Know the signs of heat illness. (available in multiple languages)
