Public Hearing Date: Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 7:00 PM

 

Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A s.5, the Maynard Planning Board will hold a hybrid public hearing at Town Hall, 195 Main Street, Maynard, MA 01754 and on ZOOM video, to hear all persons interested in the application filed by MacDonald Development, Inc., 10 Main Street, Maynard, MA 01754.

 

The subject property, 1 Summer Street, was formerly the Town Fire Station and is a pre-existing structure located in the Business zoning district (B), within the Downtown Overlay District (DOD).  The applicant is proposing a conversion of the structure into a mixed-use project consisting of a car showroom museum and eight (8) apartment units. No increase is proposed to the footprint of the structure. Per Sections 9.4.8 and 10.4 of the Protective Zoning By-Laws, the project requires a Special Permit (a portion of the required parking will be located offsite) and Site Plan approval which includes waiver requests.
