Recycling Drop Off Center
The Recycling Drop Off Center will be open 8 am to Noon for the following Saturdays in 2025:
NO CASH, please use Credit, Debit or Checks made out to Town of Maynard (38 Winter Street)
March 29 Recycling including Hazardous Waste Day
April 12
May 10
June 7 Recycle including Brush Chipping
June 14 Shredding Only
September 13
October 11 Recycle including Brush Chipping
November 8
There is a $25 minimum fee for small chipping loads. Larger loads will be charged accordingly. No commercial vehicles.
Shredding Paper Documents:
Scheduled for June 14, 2025, at the DPW Garage (38 Winter Street) from 8 am to noon. $25 a carload.
Seasonal Curbside Yard Waste will take place on the following week(s) 2025:
May 19, 2025 – May 23, 2025 Nov 3, 2025 - Nov 7, 2025 Nov 17, 2025 - Nov 21, 2025
May 18, 2026 - May 22, 2026
Please place leaves, grass, wood chips in paper yard waste bags curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your normal trash collection day.

Christmas Tree Disposal 2026:
Christmas trees can be disposed of at DPW Garage on the following Saturdays during the month of January.

From 8 am – 12pm at 38 Winter St.
Fee for this service will be a $5.00 fee. Any questions or concerns, please call the DPW office at 978-897-1317.
Mattresses:
Maynard residents will have the ability to use Recycle Center during our Recycle Center Saturdays. Cost will be $40 per item, Mattress and or Box spring. (Residents will also have the ability to have curbside pickup services by Tough Stuff Recycling by going to their website at toughstuffrecycling.com or calling 978-307-4118)
Textiles:
CMRK, Inc. has been contracted for clothing, textile, and shoe recovery services. There are recovery bins located outside the gate of the Highway Garage located at 38 Winter Street. These bins are accessible 24/7. For additional information, please visit their website.
Fee Schedule*
PAYMENT: The drop off center will only accept debit and credit cards along with checks made payable to the Town of Maynard. NO cash will be accepted.
- Tires with no rim – $20
- Tires on the rim – $25
- Truck tires – $25
- Ranges and other “white” goods – $25
- Items containing chlorofluorocarbons – $35 (refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.)
- Car batteries – $20
- Empty propane tanks – $15
- Microwave ovens – $20
- CRTs (cathode ray tubes) – $30 (computer displays, televisions, etc.)
- Gas powered equipment – $25 (mowers, snow blowers, etc.)
- CPU (computers) – $20
- Other metal items – $15 (minimum fee)
* The above fees are subject to change.
