Resignations: Board, Committee or Commissions

How to Resign

If you wish to resign from a Town of Maynard board or committee, you must submit your resignation in writing to the Town Clerk’s Office. MGL c.41 §109

Submit a Resignation Form or a brief letter including:

Your full name
The name of the board or committee 
Your position (if applicable)
The effective date of your resignation 
Reason for resignation (optional)
Signature- REQUIRED

Resignations are effective once filed with the Town Clerk or by the date specified in your resignation notice.

Once received, the Town Clerk will notify the appropriate Board/Committee Chair and appointing authority.
