Planning Board

The Planning Board is the custodian of the Town’s Zoning By-laws; reviews and acts on Site Plan and Subdivision Reviews/Approvals; prepares the Town Master Plan; and often is a Special Permit Granting Authority (SPGA) for development-related applications. The Board's authority comes from Massachusetts General Law and the Town's Zoning By-laws. Members are appointed by the Select Board.

We encourage citizens of the town to to attend our meetings and public hearings. The input from citizens is recognized and greatly appreciated.

All applications are subject to staff review for completeness prior to scheduling for public hearing. Submission by the deadline date does not guarantee placement on the corresponding meeting agenda. Scheduling of public hearing is contingent on application details, peer review procedures, incomplete or incorrect submission of required materials, and interdepartmental coordination.
