This committee reports to the Select Board, both directly and via an annual report to the town's Capital Planning Committee, and offers advice regarding plans to address conditions of municipal buildings and facilities, including administration, schools, public safety and public works, library, golf course and senior center. Advice includes project prioritization that may be based on an analysis of all of the various factors weighing into building construction and reconstruction and repairs. Factors may include costs, benefits to the town's operations, timing, urgency, and others. Barring further guidance from the Select Board, this committee has broad discretion as to how their advice is developed and produced, although it is suggested that the committee seeks input from town and school staff, industry experts and experienced sources, other town officials such as the Finance Committee and the Capital Planning Committee.
